Eh, I was just wondering who knew what the heck courtship was, or what it means, and if they could like explain it, cause its totally screwing with me right now, Thanks!
fall_to_pieces answered Monday June 13 2005, 1:04 am: courtship is like a dating period. that is what they used to call dating back in the day. there were certain rules and if you courted for a certain amount of time, that probably meant you were going to get married.

*a man's courting of a woman; seeking the affections of a woman (usually with the hope of marriage); "its was a brief and intense courtship"* [ ForbiddeN's advice column | Ask ForbiddeN A Question ]
Sporkster answered Sunday June 12 2005, 9:15 am: Too put it simply, think about how people dated back in the early 1900's. Courtship is the traditional "guy goes to girl's house, they sit on couch/talk in living room, guy leaves" type of dating. I read something about it in the newspaper here recently, and it said something like "courtship is a great alternative to dating because it restricts possible sexual experimentation." So, yeah. I think courtship is going to levels of the extreme in that case, and that seeing each other at the movies every now and then is perfectly fine. I guess you'll just have to form your own opinion about it.
