i would ask someone with experiance to teach me everything she knows about cheerleading and i would work out alot, i would also do flips on a trampoline of a friend and then try to do a flip on the ground because cheerleaders do flips

Mostly, in my school, you have to do a side cheer and a 45 second dance cheer (which they teach to you during your tryout.) It really isn't that hard. I was scared at first, but then you feel all good that you actually tried it. Oh and if you don't know how to do a cartwheel or anything like that, don't worry, they don't worry about that.

hope this helped, love.

You do jumps, tumbles like flips and tucks and back hand springs.
Then you have to learn a cheer and do it infront of them. The you practice formations and crapp

Hope i helped and good luck

at my highschool we teach the new cheerleaders at tryout practice what they need to know for the actual tryouts .. i dont know if your school does that but if not you could ask one of the cheerleaders to get together with you and teach you everything you need to know! if you can't do that then watch bring it on!! haha i know it sounds weird but really, you could put together a really nice routine by watching movies like that. good luck!!

My friend has never cheered before and she tried out for her high school, unfortunatley she got cut. Cheerleading is not the same anymore, to make the squad most coaches are looking for Competative/All-Star cheerleading backround and tumbling.
They'll proly teach you a cheer and a few chants, and a dance. You'll have to practice and memorize them then preform them. Then you'll have to do standing tumbling and running tumbling. Some try-outs also make you do stunts, but it differs from coach to coach.
Good luck &hearts

Hey- In the winter I tried out for cheerleading and actually made it. It was my first time cheering too. Try-outs were 3 days long. In the first two days we learned a cheer, chant and dance. On the third day we had to do the cheer, chant and dance that we were taught plus we needed to do three jumps: a toe touch, pike & front hurdler. We also had to do somekind of tumbling skill we had. Hope this helps.

Good Luck =)

its really to hard as long as you dont let your nerves take ahold of you. because i was extreamly nervous.

we were taught two cheers we picked one we had to do.

we had to do a chant.

we had to do jumps (a toe touch and any other jump)

we had a stunt group and we had to do one stunt.

and also we had to do any tumbling that we could do.
