ok...basically a guy who is shy wont really talk in an environment he doesnt feel comfortable in. try to make him comfortable where he is and after a while he'll start to talk...well hope this helps

find out what he talks about with his mates. ask him for help in class all the small things will make him more confident good luck x

try to get him to talk about himself. i'm not saying all guys are self absorbed or anything, its just that people in general feel more comfortable talking about themselves because it is a topic they know a lot about. try talking to him about the things he's interested in and he might just get comfortable enough to move on to something else.

OMG thats exactly how me and my boyfriend is, he is really shy whenever it comes to people he dont know and he would never talk to me so what i did was i just went up to him and said hi my name is ..... and so on you know! and now me and my boyfriend has been going out for 3 months and he is not shy or not talkative around me anymore

Hey; this may seem like a Really lame answeR, but peRhaps you should just tRy fRom heRe on out to make moRe of an effoRt to initiate conveRsation with him. Maybe once he notices that YOU aRen't afRaid to be the fiRst to take that step and make contact.. he'll eventually open up and be moRe comfoRtable enough with you. If you talk to him on the phone, ask him what he did that day -- and tell him to give specific details Right fRom the moment he woke up to the second he is talking to you. The details he includes aRe impoRtant, because you can kind of play off of them, annd you'll get to know him betteR. If you seem him at school, just walk Right up to him at lunch, and ask him about his day. OR if you seem him befoRe school, just go up to him and have a seat next to him, tell him good moRning, and ask if he always gets to school that eaRly. And always RemembeR to SMILE, SMILE, SMILE -- those things definitely get noticed!!
