ok. im a freshman , or i was last yr. and i just got my report card in the mail. i didnt do to good but i dosn't say anywhere if i passed or not? i only got a 1.4 GPA and 5 credits and my mom isnt to happy .but it dont say if i got promoted to my sophmore year?? can anyone possibly help me out. thanx

if you have no F's then your promoted ...if you have one F then you can do summer school and pass if you alot of F'sou need to call the school and see what you can do ... you'll probably get a letter in the mail to tell you if you passed or not ... the 5 credits you can make up in comunitly college then go on to real college

Well were any of your final grades F's? If they were all A,B,C,or D's, then you've passed.
Actually only if all your required classes were D's and above. If any of your electives (encores) were failing then that's okay...
But it should say somewhere if you've passed.
I'm still anxious to get mine beucase I want to know how I did, but anyway... is there a time and number of when you can contact the school or a guidance councilor about whether or not you have been promoted.
With a 1.4 GPA I doubt that you've been promoted (not to sound pessimistic) but there's always that chance. You need to get in touch with someone from the school who can answer your questions for you.

It depends on how many credits you need to pass. I mean at my high school you need 7 to pass. And i know a lot of people on other states that need 8 or 9. Now, in every single high school you need a 2.5 GPA to pass. So, most likely you are gonna be a freshman next year or have to go to summer school. But if they didn't tell you anything when you got your report card then you passed. I would findout the info that i gave you and then get back to us.

You don't get "pRomoted". If you fail a [RequiRed] class, you simply have to take it AGAIN next yeaR... oR as many times as it takes to pass it. Ergo, if you passed all of youR classes [meaning no F's], then you know you'Re fine. :D

by reading your question i would have to guess no, you didn't get "promoted" to the next grade.
and on a sidenote you can only tell that if you include your actual grades.

well in high school u dont really get "promoted" to the next grade. if you havent taken all the necessary classes or you dont have enough credits by your graduation year then you will have to stay another year to make it up.

that doesnt sound to good. here if you get a D or an F as a final grade, you have to repeat that class.
