Question Posted Wednesday June 1 2005, 5:05 pm

I want to make some extra money on the internet and I told my dad a few months ago this. He told me that he would ask the people at his office if it worked or not, but he still keeps putting it off! I would really like to have money to buy some nice things that I'd like, but it's impossible when he won't set it up for me! How can I get him to go quicker?

Just be patient with your dad. I'm sure you can live a little longer without buying nice things =b But if you're really eager, just remind him...simple as that. Or write a note and put it in his pocket or something so he'll see it when he's at work. Or email him so when he checks his email he will be reminded. Hopefully something will work. But it's no biggie, he'll get to it (=

It's true that most internet making sites are scams, but I wouldn't say all of them are scams. If you're going to go and try out a money making site, just make sure it is SAFE and the payment sounds REASONABLE. Safe, meaning you don't have to give out your address and stuff like that. Reasonable, meaning they don't hand out money just like that because that means the site will eventually close down since that'd be too much money to pay people.

Right now I'm trying out [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) . If you can sign up for that, that'd be great. lol, but the decision's yours. I use this particular site because the payment sounds reasonable. It's not like they pay you 3 cents per search. They pay you 90 percent of what they get. Which means they'll never have to shut down because they're paying people too much and they're going poor. They will always get 10 percent no matter what, so everyone's happy. It's safe because you can use a paypal account (paypal.com) and they don't ask for anything else. Paypal is safe, if you've never heard of it. If you check out sites, you'll see they ask for donations or payment through paypal. It's quite popular and secure.

So those are my tips to you, good luck!

Um...it doesn't really work, unless you have a real legitimate business. Most money-making deals on the internet are scams, and scams are illegal. You're better off having a yard sale, making a lemonade stand, or getting a job. My friend Julian makes chainmail...you know like shirts and bags and stuff made of metal rings, like knights used to wear =) Maybe you could do that. Don't be so hard on your dad. It's really difficult working and raising a family, and he can't do everything. Basically I think if you want something, you should take the initiative yourself. And most importantly, don't get sucked into any scams!

If you have good stuff to sell on Ebay, then yeah, you could make some good money. But for the most part, internet sites that say you can make money are just a scam. If they weren't everyone would do it, I know I would.
