HoweveR, if you ask... chances aRe that most people will tell you that pencil is a betteR choice. It's a gReat staRt foR a beginneR who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easieR to clean up and Re-do than liquid would be. And if you plan on caRRying it aRound in a puRse oR pocket.. you also face a chance that the liquid may Ruin [though I don't suggest caRRying eyelineR in youR pocket]. And if you do mess it up, just take a tissue and slowly Run it along the Rim of youR eyelid.. it'll come Right up. Now, the desiRed effect of eyelineR is to cReate the illusion of daRkness just above the lashline to enhance the look of the lashes. To apply it, gently hold youR eyelid down, and staRt at the inneR paRt of the lid [closest to youR nose]. Then just simply dRaw a thin line smoothly and evenly along the uppeR lid, getting as close to the lashes as possible. Also, make shoRe you dRaw the line all the way to the outside coRneR. It will pRobably take some pRactice -- it took me a while at fiRst too... now I have it down incRedibly well. And now foR the pRoducts... peRsonally, I think the two best bRands of eyelineR out theRe aRe "MeRyl NoRman" and "Beautique". "MeRyl NoRman", which can only be puRchased at "The MeRyl NoRman Cosmetic Studios", is pRicey [typically $8.50 - $15.00], but it REALLY IS good stuff. It goes on wondeRfully, and stays on all day!!! On the otheR hand... I happen to think that "Beautique" is INCREDIBLE, howeveR, I've ONLY seen "Beautique" at "Sally's". And "Beautique" is only .99 cents. TRUST ME.. I would NEVER EVER EVER buy cRap make up!!! I get only the best, so please, please, please, please DON'T let this dollaR pRice thRow you off - you'd be cheating youRself out of the best pRoduct out theRe!! I'd *PREFER* "Beautique" out of ANY otheR bRand of eyelineR!! I could easily go out and buy a $15.00 pencil, but I'd RATHER get "Beautique"! "Beautique" glides on smoothly and REALLY LASTS ALLLLL DAY!!! I CAN NOT pRomote this item enough!! And if you still have doubts... foR only .99 cents.. it's woRth a shot!! Goodluck!! I hope I helped!! =D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
ThugGirl041790 answered Thursday May 19 2005, 7:09 pm: Keep practicing.. putting eyeliner on top of your eyeliner is really hard try pulling your eye to the side like an asian person and put it on..*thats if your having trouble putting on top*
now on the bottom alot of people have trouble keeping their eye open to put it on and their eyes water but eventually you'll get used to that if thats the problem.. some people put eyeliner under their bottom eyelashes instead of the inner eyelashes.. so you could try that if you'd like.. much luv dez ♥ [ ThugGirl041790's advice column | Ask ThugGirl041790 A Question ]
Karen answered Thursday May 19 2005, 5:57 pm: If you just started using eyeliner, then it's normal to not put on eyeliner correctly. When you are applying eyeliner, do it slowly and apply it in a thin line and not so thick. If you mess up, just take a q-tip and wet the end and fix your mistake. You'll get used to it; it just takes time. Start off with a pencil eyeliner, rather than a liquid because I find that pencil is easier to work with. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Teza answered Thursday May 19 2005, 5:14 pm: Its not that hard. Just keep trying. Dont put it on the eyelashes tho. Put it on the skin part. I dont know what its called tho and try not to do it dark because it just looks kind of scary. ♥ [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
