Im 16 years old and i just recently started dating a guy that i have known all my life since like the 6th grade and we are juniors now and never before have we looked at ecah other in the way of i like you but through some friends we started dating and we are happy. i mean i say that and we have only been together about a week. so as for right now we are happy. but hes really shy and i am really not shy. so when it comes to him kissing me and things like that he doesnt know what to do but i know he wants to because of the way he acts and our friends have told me this but hes just to shy to make the frist move hes just to shy. and he hasnt even held my hand or put his arm around me or anything and one of my other firends told me to spend more time together so we can be more comfortable around each other and we will hang out this weekend and we will just see what happends but if any one has any advice please tell me!!

He just needs a bit of encouragement. Why not simply hold hands with him to begin with? Then maybe put your hand on the small of his back to encourage him to out his arm around you. Maybe give him a kiss on the cheek and see where it leads. He just needs you to make the first move and then he'll be fine. He's just really nervous bless him!

you are allowed to make the first move you know. hes just inexpirianced, and hes affraid of going too far, beyond what you wana do with him. when youre talking just slip your hand into his, or when the two of you are walking together press up close and put your arm around his waist. or if you wana be direct you could always jsut tell him to kiss you. but yeah if hes shy there really isnt a way to make him less shy, you gotta take matters into your own hands

I know what it's like to date a shy guy... they are so complicated! They want to do something.. but they just won't.. so frustrating... Ok. I'm done complaining.

Sometimes, you just have to make the first move to get them to loosen up and relax. It's a lot easier for guys to do something if they know you want to... I know a lot of girls don't like to make the first move, but with a shy person, you usually have to. Anyhow, it's not as bad as it sounds!! Usually, they'll do something totally amazing to make up for it..
