ok so there is this guy who is kinda friends w/ me and he has a nick name for me(detective if you were wondering), and is always talking to me, and at school dances he always talks to me and then i ask him to dance he says yes and when we are slow dancing he grabs my ass, and he always brings up times when we had fun together.
i dont know if likes me or not and if he does what should i do should i ask him out or some thing?

You should probably try to turn that "kinda friends" into a "good friends"

You need to get to know him better, him grabbing your ass means he must think you're attractive, that's a start, but there's more to it than that.
