XoxBroKeNxoX answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 7:42 pm: no. and i took mine out the day after i go it peirced. it hurts when you move it for the first couple of month, and dont make the mistake of getting a bellybutton ring that has hanging things on it because if it gets snapped on to say...a 5 pound book..and you throw your book aon your desk at school...ouch (bad experiences).. azngemini answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 7:36 pm: I got mine like 2 days before the beginning of 2005, and I lovee it. when I got it, I was really nervous and scared too, but dont worry. the whole process took less than a minute, and I only felt pain for a few seconds. afterwards it might feel stingy, but other than that, you'll be totally fine.
the guy that pierced my belly button said that it normally takes like 3-6 months for your belly button to heal, but sometimes it can take a whole year. but this guy that sold belly button rings at the mall said that it would take like a few weeks. but I trust my piercer more because many websites support what he said.

Karen answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 7:14 pm: I have my belly button pierced and when your belly button is actually pierced, it hurts just a little bit (without numbing spray) and if I had to rate the pain on a scale, I would rate it either a 2 or 3. Don't be scared because it won't hurt at all. As for the healing time, waiting 6 months is not true. I took out my barbel after 4 weeks but if you don't put a ring in, it will close up pretty fast. gakkuhideto answered Wednesday May 11 2005, 7:07 pm: Anytime you get a peice of metal jabbed through your flesh it hurts. But that doesn't mean it's bad, the pain is half the fun in my humble opinion. The other half, of course, is looking HAWT. And yes, it takes a long time to heal and yes, it's VERY easy to get infections. Most people get infections when they get their belly button pierced. But they are cureable, usually. Go for it!
