I think once you feel the baby move, and just generally share the experience of her pregnancy with her you will do okay with it. If things work into long term the baby will consider you its father. Is the bio dad involved at all? If he isn't of course it would be easier, but even if he is it shouldn't pose a problem.

My son met his wife when her son was 2. He considers my son his dad ( bio dad not involved at all). My son considers him a son. I think you will do okay with it so long as she lets you! If any problems crop up, feel free to ask another question anytime. Good luck with it. :)
