Vitiligo

Question Posted Monday May 9 2005, 1:02 am

i have a skin condition called vitiligo, which is when you have blotchy spots on your skin where there is no pigment. they cannot tan, so when summer comes and my body is tan, those spots remain white as can be. does anyone know of any lotions or creams that blend skin tones together..and that isnt terribly expensive? and does anyone know of any really good sunless tanner lotions/creams that aren't too expensive? Thanks a bunch everyone!

if i were in your position, i wouldnt do a thing about it. thats the way you were made, and you should be happy with what you have. be happy you didnt turn out like michael jackson!, but, since im sure you really want to know, i tried a sunless tanning spray (more like a mist) for graduation one spring. i got it from walgreens for 6 or 7 dollars. it just mists right on. it comes in about an 8oz. bottle i believe with a yellow cap. it's walgreens brand, which explains why its so cheap, but i loved it.

Yeah, Jergens Natural Glow is pretty good. They have it for fair or medium skin tones. It is about $4.44 at Wal-Mart.

Some make up brands do an instant tan colour which is dark brown. It is immediate and washes off in the shower. You could use this to blend your two skin tones together. Foundation can help too. Everyone thinks its just for your face but its not. Get quite a dark foundation and start blending. Hope I have helped a little

aw sorry to hear that. neutrogena "Isntant Bronze" is pretty good. its foam and its colored (like it shows up right away) so that way you can get it to be even and such. they have different shades too so you can find one thats right for you. you can also try foundation. you can get it from the drugstore, just find one that matches your skin tone. hope this helps. good luck! <33
