My brother set Mozilla Firefox to be the default internet program (I hope I'm phrasing that right). Whenever I click on a link, it pops up in Mozilla Firefox. I just don't like it because I'm too used to Internet Explorer. How do I change it back to Internet Explorer again? Thank you.
If you still insist on using IE, here's how you do it:
Open IE, Click on "Tools" > Choose "Internet Options" > Click the "Programs" tab > Check the box next to "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" > Close IE and reopen it, it should ask you whether you want to set it as the default browser. It blocks more pop ups and you won't get that many viruses/adware/spyware. You should keep it because you will eventually get used to it. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Martini_Kiss answered Saturday May 7 2005, 12:23 am: I wouldn't change it. I used to use just Internet Explorer too, besides for pop-ups I seemed to get viruses left and right with it.
Mozilla has a built in pop up blocker, if you click on "tools", "options", it's under "web features" and click the little "block pop up windows" there.. ;)
There's really not much difference between browsers, besides how they run.. and Mozilla is one of the better ones.. get used to it.. and I'm sure you'll like it ;) [ Martini_Kiss's advice column | Ask Martini_Kiss A Question ]
