Ok if it were me..i would go to the doc because I mean this is something the doc can really help you out with the right way. Dont feel like your the only person who does this, because its definately out there along with many other things like cutting, etc...so dont be ashamed to go for help. Going to a doc for help may seem very hard now, but i say its the right move and in the end you will be happy because this is something that will stop, especially with the docs help!
But ok..you want to try to avoid the doc..I would eat like you normally do, then maybe go out somewhere, take a walk, something to occupy you. Then you will have no reason to make yourself throw up because you would have been kept busy right? So try that along with reminding yourself of the harmful risks. Bulumia is serious....here i coppied and pasted the section of bulimia risks from a good website:
Repeated vomiting causes a loss of stomach contents and because this includes the acid secretions that are needed for digestion it leads to changes of body chemistry. Laxative abuse causes similar distortion of chemistry and the two behaviours together are most likely to be dangerous. Major disturbance of the blood chemistry, particularly loss of potassium, and rupture of the stomach are occasional causes of sudden death but fortunately this is rare unless the behaviour is extreme. Acid from the stomach constantly washing over the teeth dissolves the enamel which will cause lasting damage particularly to the four central upper teeth. Irregularity of the menstrual cycle is common and sometimes it stops altogether. There is an association of ovarian cysts with the illness that is likely to reduce fertility but most are able to conceive normally once they are recovered. As with all eating disorders the greatest risks are from suicide or self harm as a result of feelings of depression and hopelessness.
