Nail Polish Remover

Question Posted Wednesday April 27 2005, 7:49 pm

I have a really hideous color on my nails right now because I decided to let my friends paint my nails- but let's not get into that. I really need to remove the polish off of my nails, but I don't own a nail polish remover and my parents aren't going to drive out now to get me some. Is there anything natural or DIY that will get this polish off my nails?

By painting another layer of any colour over the top and waiting a couple of seconds you can wipe it all off with cotton wool or a tissue as the wet nail varnish will make the dry wet if you see what I mean! It will probably take a couple of gos on each nail.

Using rubbing alcohol instead of nail polish will remove the nail polish off of your nails. Also chipping the polish of with tweezer or your fingers will work.

If you have a nail file or if your dad uses sand paper for anything, you can use that. That happened to me once so I was searching for a nail file and we didn't have one so I used sand paper. You have to put hand lotion on after because it makes your nails a little weaker, but it works! Good luck.

rubbing alcohol works. If you don't have any do this. Paint over them again and then wipe off while its still wet. It will remove what is one there too. May have to do it twice on some but will work. :)

Rubbing alcohol will get it off, or you could try to pick at it and chip it off, but that takes forever..
