my partner wanted a car fom yes car creadit he asked me to go becouse i had a full driveing licence but i only went cos the company would not let him drive it out without insurance so i done that for him about 5days after my dad was reading all paper work and said i was on the contract as well so my partner called them and they said they would take me off it. but a few months later i was still on it now me and partner have parted and the car has been taken back by company and nowwant 7,606 pound off me and dont know what to do my partner has told the company many times he is responsibel for the dept as i only get 44 pound a week as i look after my mum pleass get back with some advice for me manythanks wayne richardson
Did you actually sign the contract? If so, you may need to find legal help.
One thing you can do: Get, in writing, a signed statement from your ex-partner stating the facts of the matter. Have it witnessed by a few people who are not involved. They must also sign. Do this in the presence of a notary, and have the whole thing notarized.
Once you have that, you can have notarized copies made by the same notary public.
Send copies to all parties involved and see what happens.
The short ugly answer is: If you signed something, you are bound by it. :-(
There just may be some way out of it considering the circumstances.
