Hello there,

Did you actually sign the contract? If so, you may need to find legal help.

One thing you can do: Get, in writing, a signed statement from your ex-partner stating the facts of the matter. Have it witnessed by a few people who are not involved. They must also sign. Do this in the presence of a notary, and have the whole thing notarized.

Once you have that, you can have notarized copies made by the same notary public.

Send copies to all parties involved and see what happens.

The short ugly answer is: If you signed something, you are bound by it. :-(

There just may be some way out of it considering the circumstances.

DangerNerd.
