Question Posted Monday April 18 2005, 7:34 pm

I am a tennis player and i play everyday except friday(sometimes) and I am on my school tennis team.. but my shoulder has been killing me!.. If I hit hard it pops.. and when I put my hand on it and move it I can feel my bones rubbing together!.. what is it?.. Is it serious?.. Are there anythings that may help the pain?

Get to the doctor! It could be serious! You need to have proffessional help! But until then just take pain killer and don't play tennis if it hurts!
Good luck!Hope I helped!

i know of a really good gel like cream that makes stuff like this stop hurting as bad it is called Arniflorna. it works really well! i use it on my knee because i play soccer 5 times a week and my knee cap slides over and rubs on the bone under it and makes it hurt really bad but this makes it feel better!you can get it at a local heath store im pretty sure but if not you can look for it on the internet. also i would see a doctor or even a coach and see what they say.

hope i helped!

You need to tell your coach, and stop playing for a while. It may be because you play so often, it's hurting the joint, sort of like tennis elbow, only with your shoulder. You also might want to go to the doctor and see if they have something that could help with the pain.

Ok, my uncle is a physical therapist. You should see a doctor! It's possible your shoulder could be overworked from swinging it around. Maybe you should take a break from tennis for a while.
hope i could help

You need to go to a doctor, but an ice pack may help until you can get there.

Sound's like you could have some tendonitis in your shoulder. Tell your doctor and see if he/she can't tell you how to remedy it. It can get painful after awhile so take some ibuprophen or other anti inflammatory type pain reliever. :)

Your cartilidge may be deteriorating from doing the same swinging motion over and over again. I don't know, my shoulder did that during the marching band season, but that was just because I was losing some weight rapidly and gaining muscle. It may just be that your body is growing in a lot of different ways, and your growth plates are getting messed up. Whatever, go to a doctor and he or she will be able to give you a better answer.

It could be that your joints have like shifted and moved in a direction they arent suppose to. That is what happened with my knee. Go to the doctor and he will give you medicine and exercises you can do to help heal it! GOod luck!
