I would like to go to a tanning salon for the first time. My family has no history of skin cancer and I have no skin problems, except that I am pale. I need some advice for which salon is the best to go to? How many minutes should I choose for my skin tone? Also, does it look fake at all? I'm trying to go for that just got back from the beach look.

FlukeKid answered Tuesday April 12 2005, 1:17 am: the best thing to do (since i don't know your area in which you live) is to go to a nearby tanning salon and ask them these questions becuase thier equitment and settings may differ from other salons. If they don't sound like they know what thier talking about when you ask these questions try a different salon [ FlukeKid's advice column | Ask FlukeKid A Question ]
oneandonly345 answered Monday April 11 2005, 8:52 pm: any salon really. i would go to a lay down bed (i got to one) if you are pale (like me) i would go for 5 min to start with. then the next day go 5 again. then 6 and then 6 and then 7 and then 7 .. and so on. nope . it doesn't look fake. not at all. but dont forget. i would get some tanning lotion, not the beach kind, but they should sell it there. make sure to use it.
hope i helped [ oneandonly345's advice column | Ask oneandonly345 A Question ]
