Question Posted Monday April 11 2005, 6:52 pm

Okay ... my friend and I started cutting at practicaly the same time. Well ... my mom found out about my cutting and I swore I would stop (witht the exception of the other day ...) But my friend keeps doing it! It really scares me ... and she told me not to tell ANYBODY about it ... and I promised her I wouldnt ...
But Im so worried for her! Im afraid that she'll end up in the hospital or wind up going to counseling...
Should I tell somebody and loose a best friend, or not tell anybody ... and loose a girl whose a sister to me?

Definetly tell somebody! I mean it's better loosing a friend now for just a few months or years or whatever rather than loosing her forever because she might accidently kill herself. If you're really her friend, you'll worry more about her safety than loosing her temporarily. Sooner or later she's going to thank you for saving her.
