Ok I just found out that the camp that I will be attending for 2 weeks over the summer won't let you have ANY electronic equipment. That includes hair dryers/ hair straightners. I have very frizzy, poofy, thick, wavy/ curly hair, and the ONLY way to make it look respectable and decent is to straighten it. I look extremely terrible without doing this, like it is almost so bad that you cannot imagine.
My question is if anybody knows any products to put on your hair to STRAIGHTEN it. I have tried this straightening shampoo, but it didn't work. Does anyone know something that will actually straighten it (NOT just relax it)? I know about the frizz ease stuff, but that doesn't straighten.
I rate 5's bi the way!

So try not to freak out so much about not being able to bring your straightening iron.
I too deal with the loveliness (sarcasm here) that is curly/frizzy/thick hair. So I understand that it sucks.
Ponytails are your friend. French braids are even better. Also, try wearing a cute hat or bandanna. Hats are great- they keep the sun off your face, as well as hiding your hair.
I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but it's the best advice I can give for your situation. I don't think there's any miracle hair products out there, sorry to say. [ rainbowsend's advice column | Ask rainbowsend A Question ]

Vilebunni answered Wednesday March 30 2005, 8:40 pm: My hair is the very same way and I have to say, why are you afraid of letting it curl? You don't have to straighten it, just get it to stop being frizzy, right? I use Fructis curling mousse after my morning shower (let it dry by itself, DON'T blow-dry it) and if it starts getting frizzy during the day, Aussie moisturizing conditioner mixed with water in a spray-bottle will help it calm down. Mix it about 50/50 and spray it on, then scrunch it up. [ Vilebunni's advice column | Ask Vilebunni A Question ]
