I think we all have this problem sometimes! It's other things totally working on your mind that don't want to make you think.

Try these helpful hints:

1. Make it interesting for yourself. Make notecards and drills [even writing it out sometimes helps you memorize things more, it def helps me!].

2. Look online for some helpful info.

3. Get a 'study buddy'! You can help each other learn little tricks for memorization, and they might be able to explain something you don't get, visa versa.

4. FOCUS. Even though you feel like you can't, go into a quiet room, think about NOTHING else except what your reading.

Hope I've helped, and if you need ANYTHING, just contact me, I'd be glad to help!

okay this seems pretty obvious to me but i hope it helps you:
study in your room or a quite, well lit room in your house
as much as i hate it no TV, radio, etc.
if you have definitions or something read them outloud so you will have to stay focused
ask someone to quiz you to see what you already know and what you need to learn
dont cram. if you have 3 days study for 10 minutes everyday

i hope that works =]
