Sad thing is getting to know someone and if they like you is NEVER easy. I'm not good at it, but I know little things say a lot. Smile when he catches your eyes. Always tell him hello in passing, even in front of his friends. Include them, but you can smile at him or nod your head. Give him enough little signs that you are interested and he will seek you out if he really likes you. If he's too shy I can't help you. I'm not a big believer in boldness. It's just not me. This may not have helped, but it is a lesson in casual flirting. To be liked you have to seem open to being liked. Good luck.
