Hi
I have really heavy periods and am considering asking my doctor if I can go on the pill to control them. However, I HATE taking pills (have a real phobia of it) so what can I do about that?
Plus, do you honestly think that a doctor would put a 15 year old girl on the pill? Especially seen as I've only had 4 periods (they started when I was 13 but are VERY irregular - I skip like 6 at a time)? Has anyone had any personal experience with doctors and the pill? How did it go?

If your doctor does decided to put you on the pill you will have an ultra sound first, which is basically pictures of your ovaries and uterus, to make sure there aren't any cysts or any other problems. If everything comes back a-okay, then your doctor will decided.

I've seen them before (weird this must sound coming from a guy) and they're not that big, probably just a tad bit larger than the Claritin pills. And since you've only had them for a year, your body must still be getting used to it. After a bit longer things wil even out and possibly the periods won't be so heavy. ^^ <3 EJ [ EJ47's advice column | Ask EJ47 A Question ]
