help! i dont know what kind of clothes im supposed to wear cuz i have a kinda awkward shaped body, im curvy with a really short torso, somewhat busty, and long to medium length legs. What should I wear to compliment my body, because most of clothes fit awkardly. Also what dress style would be best for my body, i have a graduation dance coming up and i dont know what would look best on me.
BooBoo2007 answered Tuesday March 22 2005, 7:28 pm: Busty...well if you have heavy hips, then you should wear shoulder pads, A-line skirts, dark bottoms, loose tops, and A-line dresses. But avoid straight skirts and attention-getting pocket details, jackets that cut across the hipline. Large bust, wear minimizer bra, vertical necklines, and open collars. Avoid very high or very low necklines, tight fitting tops, light or bright colors on top, fabrics that are too shiny or clinging, wide belts, double breasted jackets. Thick midriff, wear center the interest at the neckline or the hemline, which ever is your best feature, boxy jackets, and loose tops. Avoid tight fitting tops, wide belts or contrasting color at the waistline. Tummy, wear light weight controlled pany or pantyhose, boxy hip length jackets, and A-line skirts/dresses. Avoid clinging fabrics, loose pleats, and full or straight skirts. Big rear, wear flowing lines, hip length straight cut jackets, box pleated skirts, gathered waistlines, Avoid tight bottoms, clinging fabrics, and bright colors. Large thighs, wear full or A-line skirts, and loose fitting bottoms. Avoid tight skirts and pants, bottoms with pleats, and clinging fabrics. Do you have a short or long neck? If you have short neck, wear stand-away collars, V or U necklines, and No-collar styles, but avoid necklines shouldn't be any higher than a crewneck. If you have a long neck, wear cowlnecks, turtlenecks, mandarin collars, and scarves. Avoid collarless styles, and deep V necks. For Short and plump ppl, styles should be controlled diagonal lines, and slenderizing verticals. Fabrics should be soft with a matte non-glare finish, and solids. Colors should be one color (no prints, solid color), medium and dark tones. Avoid coarse and heavy fabrics, ankle straps, and pants with cuffs. Wow that's alot to type! Sorry....But Hope I helped, the best of luck! Have fun at your Graduation Dance!! Much Love!!
