Well, my brother and I used to go digging in an old pitchers mound, and we found tons of clay. It's probably not the best idea, because you might be digging for hours and not find a thing. Also, it's kind of dirty, too. But, try it if you want to, lol. Or, try a recipe on google, I have never tried it so I don't know if it works.

This should do you fine:

2 cup flour
1 1/3 cup salt
4 tsp. powdered alum or cream of tarter
2 cup boiling water
4 tsp. vegetable oil
food coloring (if wanted)

Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the oil and boiling water. Stir until dough is tough but pliable and does not stick to the bowl. Knead in color if that tickles your fancy.

If kept in an airtight container, the dough will last for a long time. If left out, you can dry your projects overnight. :D
