Well do you get anxious, or you just have to move around or something? Is it difficult for you to concentrate? That's how it is for me, I think I have ADD, but my mom doesn't think so (my brother has it, but she won't get me tested) But you could have ADD or ADHD... I doubt it, but if it's difficult for you to really concentrate. I don't know, check some sites about that, just google it or something.
But the fact that you don't want your parents to be disappointed should help you try to get your grades up. I did much better in algebra 1a than I'm doing in 1b, I think it's because I can't do well in a class if I like the teacher... unless I really respect my teacher, or unless I really really like him/her. But last semester I couldn't stand my 1a teacher (she's awesome now that I don't have her lol) but like do you know when you dislike someone, how you always try to prove you're really good at something? Well I would try to be like "in your face, I'm awesome at this" and just that type of thing. If you dislike the teacher, then try proving that you're smart and that you can do it.
Usually if my teacher lets me do my h/w in the hallway I get it done, because it's just easier for me to concentrate, if I'm in the classroom, and I get bored I'll look around and daydream, but when I'm in the hallway it's just easier. So usually I'll ask and see if I can do my work in the hall.
Do you try to make your top priorities friends and guys? Or is it just that way?
My top priorities are tied between school and friends, because friends are everything, you'll need them your whole life, without friends, you're lonly, and you're depressed, so they are definitley a priority!! But make sure school is up there too. It doesn't have to be your number 1 priority... family should be your number 1 priority.
Is this just algebra, or all your classes? For me I have the most trouble paying attention in math (but only this semester) but it's still hard for me in other classes too.

Me and my friends compete for the best grade. Me and this girl Tori, last semester in math we always competed to get the highest grade in math, I won most of the time :-), but she would beat me too. That's the only reason my grade was so high, because we made it fun. This semester in science, me and this girl Laura compete, she's much better though, which makes me want to work twice as hard to beat her. So if you're competing, then you'll want to work harder so you'll do better...
Or is there any way you can get extra help, or extra time to do stuff? Maybe ask your parent/gaurdian if you can get tested for ADD or ADHD (first find a site and read about symptoms and stuff)

Sorry if I'm no help to you, but hopefully I am.

Try to make schoolwork a high priority, and try to find what works best for YOU. For me it's competing, or working by myself... like in the back corner of the classroom around nobody, or in the hallway right outside my classroom, where I'm less likely to talk, and I find it much easier to concentrate when I can't see anyone, because then I won't start like daydreaming or anything. But try and see what works for you!!! Good luck!

If it's like just algebra you're having problems with, then even though I'm not doing good in that class, it's only because I don't finish homework and stuff (and because I missed a test... it's too late to make it up... I have a 0 for it... that brought my grade down a lot) But like if you're having a hard time with a certain thing in math then there are websites, or give me one or 2 problems and i'll work it out step by step.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ]
