Asking the teachers for help is good too, even though they are rude, I'm sure they will still help you, because thats what they're there for. Make sure that you know what you need to study, ask the teachers to show you after classes. Basically, 14 days should definetly be enough for you to make it up, I really think it is possible to do it in about 10 days. But, you have to make an effort and be willing to do it, make sure you turn all of the work you get done so it won't get lost in your unfinished work.
