settle for just a friend?
well theres this guy that i really really like..lets say his name is jared...he's nice, funny, veryy sweet and be get along great...he's everything i could possibly want!! well anyways i've known him for about a year and we've become best friends..but i like him more than a friend...one of my friends..lets say his name is timmy...talked to him for me...then a lil while lata one of his friends came ask me if i liked jared..of course i said yes...then i ask jred's friend wut he thought of me..she said he thought i was really nice and sweet and had a great personality...and he told timmy wut i said...but then jared said he needed time to think...so a few days lata he said he wasnt ready and he didnt wanna ruin or friendship...well timmy still kept asking him question but jared said things like no comment and idk or he changes the subject or just doesnt answer...he almost asked me to a school dance..but i guess he chickened out...i dont know what to think...i think i wouldve given up by now but he talks to me almost every night and he smiles at me almost everyday as school...i dunno if i should give up and settle for just a friend...

Girl, you gots a tough situation on your hands here. Which you prolly already realized. Ok, you need to go up to this Jared guy & be like, "Hey, listen, I like you a lot but if you dont like me like that then just let me know now so I aint just wasting my time hoping that there's a chance for "us" if they really aint." As for this Timmy dude.. he needa keep his mouth shut cause it's none of his damn business bout who Jared likes & dont like. Jared cant help the way he feels, so if he dont like you, then keep on steppin cause he wasnt worth your time anyways. But if he does, then Im happy to help yah! if you really like him you should keep trying for him...i was in the same situation once but i was from "jareds" perspective, i liked this guy but i didnt want to go out with him because we were such good friends and i knew that i wouldnt last and after we wouldnt be friends...so i would keep giving him signs that i liked him so that he wouldnt decide to give up on me...you should keep going on liking him and someday he will realize that you 2 are meant to b...hope i helped <33

You should talk to him. Ask him out yourself, if your too scared or shy to ask him face to face write him aletter. I did and I ended up going to homecoming with the guy.....it's not like its a rule that only guys can ask out girls. Just work your charm and if he says no then just be friends.Hope he says yes....Love Nicole
