calories are the heat energy in food. carbs also give you energy. if you do not burn off all this heat and food energy you can get FAT

Ok, let me put this as simple as I can possibly put it. Carbs give you energy. Calories are just bad for you (your teeth and bones and you know, excess fat). Simple Carbs come from candy and junk food. Simple carbs give you a boost of energy almost instantly but it dies off quickly, too. Complex carbs come from chicken, fish, and other good foods. It takes more time for it to kick in, but the energy lasts longer, too. Hope I helped.

Carb is short for CARBohydrates (sp?). Or as you know it the bottom of the food pyramid. It used to be know you should have the most servings of that; however, reseachers are discovering you should have less. A calorie is a measurment for the amout of energy your body takes in (well sorta). Most people have a 2,000-2,500 calorie a day diet. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck

I thought this would be pretty simple to answer but it's not. Well, the difference between carbohyrdrates and calories is that carbohydrates give your body energy and calories produce energy and heat, kind of. Carbohyrdates are a compound of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen which is important for your body and calories are an energy-producing property of foods. Just type in "Calories and Carbohydrates" in a Google or Yahoo search and a lot of pages will come up. Sorry if this is confusing to understand.
