Okay, sorry to say, but it does sound like he isn't all that interested in going out with you.
When he asks for you to go to the dances with him, it's probably because he needs someone to go with, and if he had another girl, he'd go with her. And the fact he only went out with that girl for a week doesn't help. Don't wanna be rude, but I think you should leave this guy alone before you get TOO attached. Hope i helped:)

ok, some confusions about the air maybe?
this guy seems to be into you, maybe hes just a bit shy. Sometimes ladies, we jus have to take the upper hand and make that first step to get what we really want. I suggest you accept his invite to the dance, go along, enjoy yourself, see what he's like. If the roads looking clear, go for the kill. If not, then well why waste your time. Be fabulous elsewhere, and get an even better guy who wont be afraid to say what he wants! ]
Well sweetz, it is possible that he likes you. Or maybe he just is in need of a good friend right now obviously since him and his gf just ended. Anywayz, you should try and talk to him about it and find out who this 'new person' is..It could be you, or maybe it's not..If it's not dont sweat it, just become great friends with him then something could happen in the future..Goood luck honey
