Talk to your dad about this. Maybe you can agree on a deal, like if you get a certain amount of hours on the computer and then a certain amont of time that you have to practice flute.

Do this, call him an ass face as he watches you matter of fact i want you to forward this message to him.

Dear asshole dad,

Your scum, you give noone privacy and sound like your boring as hell. Cant you let a kid have some fun? Obviously you had no fun when you were a child therefor dont understand the meaning. You are a piece of crap shined and cleaned from head to toe. A walking talking nuicense. Let someone have fun, instead of being bored, dont break promises you look like even more off an idiot like that.

There you go, show this too him.

Omg, My dad is JUST like that! Heres the thing, sometimes you just gotta...you know, get off of the computer. Hang out with your friends outside, play some basketball or any other sport you play, watch a movie, anything besides the computer. Try to limit your time and stuff, and it'll make your dad happy. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. Except, I dont play the flute, I play the viola ;] anyway, I hope I helped.

Well, if you can't talk to him in person, then you definitely need to write him a letter. In this letter, explain to him that you always do what you are told and you don't deserve to be punished by having your dad invading your privacy by reading your IMs. Also, tell him that you deserve to have more online time, since you practice your flute for 30 minutes and that is a long time. You need to explain that you need your privacy and that your dad shouldn't make you cry, just because he is reading your IMs. Once you've finished your letter, put it where he can find it like in his car, on his seat, or on your parent's bed. My friend was in the same situation as you are in and she did this. When her dad found the note, he actually knew that what he was doing was wrong and he changed for the better. Hope I helped :)

WOW...it sounds like he cares about you a lot. maybe he didnt do oh so well in school and he screwed up his life? I'm not sure I'm not you. He probably doesn't want you to fail and get left back or something, I know my parents are the same. I'll come home go on-line for a few then watch TV and go on right before they come home and they see me on. Thinking I've been on for 2 hours when I was doing homework, watching TV, talking on the phone or outside with friends and etc. You may get the point I'm saying? I'm always getting kicked off to go do something as well..and that doesnt sound fair your practice your butt off for 30 minutes and your get 15 minutes on-line you should get 30 minutes/30 minutes not 30 minutes/15 minutes...that isnt fair. Talk to him and tell him how you feel.

Good Luck

That totally sucks. Your Dad probably cares a lot about you and wants to have the satisfaction of being a good dad by telling you what to do and stuff. This is what you should do, write a really long letter explaining everything to him though, put it like somewheres he can find it and go to a friends house that day when you do that so that he reads it while your not there. Also if he doesnt cool off after that schedule a meeting between you and your dad with the school counselor.
