Cruise

Question Posted Sunday February 13 2005, 12:29 pm

I'm a 15/f and I me and my family are thinking of going on a cruise this summer. None of us have ever been on a cruise. I get sea sick pretty easily, but I heard that on a cruise since the ship is so large, you don't get sea sick. Is this true? Also, what was your experience like on a cuise and which cruise line did you take? Lastly, we are debating about where to go on the cruise (it's between Alaska and the Caribbean)... have any of you been on one/ both of these cruises, which one did you like more... or what was your experience with one of them. Also, are there more teenagers on one or the other. Thanks so much!!! I rate 5's for serious answers!

CARIBBEAN CARIBBEAN CARIBBEAN!! You lucky thing!
I went on a Caribbean cruise for my 18th birthday and it was fantastic!
Like you I get sick when I travel (especially trains!!) but you are right in what you say. The cruise ships are so big you really do not know that you are moving.
Another thing I would advise is going at the height of summer. Not only will you get a better tan (make sure you take plenty of sunscreen!) but the oceans will be very calm and you are extremley unlikely to run into a storem.

Go on the caribbean one and have a great time!!

Mel

Hi Sweetie,
Actually I have taken three cruises... twice the Ecstacy Carnival ship. The first time I did NOT get sea sick but... once in a smaller ship which's name I do not recall I got sea sick but I was in a crowded room and stuff... they actually have pills right there incase you DO get sea sick. I was only sea sick for a little while, then I was OK. But in the Carnival I was never sea sick. Being in a cruise is really nice becfause there's lots of things to do and see on the ship and they are all nice to you and they do that animal-towels chocolate-on-pillow rutine every day. Anyway, well we went to the Caribbean. We got out hair brbaded therer but it was really expensive. In the Carribean they normally have expensive prizes prepared specially for toursists (lol). Seriously! Well I was a preteen when I went... and there were people my age. There were actual teenagers too. They have like an arcade for the kids and a game room to rent a board game and... libraries... the teenagers were skmewhere there. And there were some college people just reading...
Well that's all I can tell you. Enjoy your trip! Take care and ~Blessed Be...

You don't get sea sick, because it's so large and it doesn't rock. I went on the Carnival Triumph and it was awesome! This one social host was so hot and everything, it was AWESOME! There's so much stuff you can do. There's free icecream and frozen yogurt machines and you can have as much as you want. Free drinks too. And the food is awesome! You're going to have so much fun. I would recommend the Caribbean. We went there and we went snorkeling and bought these cool island clothes. The weather is nice and it's soooo warm. I've never been on an Alaskan cruise, but I'm sure there will be lots of teenagers on either one.
Hope I helped!
♥ Erin

I usually get sea sick also but on the cruise ship it is not bouncy and it is big so u wont get sick. I went on a carnival cruise and i loved it! There was soo much to do off and also on the boat! You will have fun. Any cruise you go on will be full of teens. I would pick Alaska becuz it would be a experience out of this world!Xoxxo LexiXOXOX

First off, you MUST MUST MUST go to the Caribbean! Blue skies, white sand, nice clear, blue water, oh GOD it's gorgeous!! So, I'd have to say you guys should definately go to the Caribbean! Alaska's so cold. It's pretty there too, but it's so cold and there's like no life there! As for the sea sickness, it is true that you don't get as sick because of the fact that the boat is so big. The smaller the boat, the sicker you get, and vice versa. I hope this helped.

If you go on a cruise, you can't feel the boat moving and there is a slim chance of you getting sea sick. My friend went on a cruise and she didn't get sea sick and she usually does when she goes on the water. You and your family should definitely go to the Caribbean, since it will be warmer and more people, sometimes teenagers, will be on a cruise to the Caribbean. If you go to Alaska, it will be colder. I don't know what cruise line you should take, since I haven't been on one yet, so sorry about that. Hope I helped :)
