Question Posted Friday February 11 2005, 9:56 pm

there's this guy that i like ALOT and he knows. well he tries to make it not akward by talking sometimes like in a class and stuff. well, all my friends tell me to talk to him online, but im such a chicken! i have talked to him online and had good convos probably 3 times out of the last 3 weeks. yeah, i know, lame! well i don't know what to talk about! also, what are some good ways to strike up convos? and he's not the kind of guy to talk about like what his hobbies are and whatnot... that's just dorky. so thanks in advance! :-)

When you IM him online, just be like "Hi, what's up?" and the conversation will start from there. Ask him if you had any homework in a certain class. Don't worry, once you start talking to him more, you will feel better and more comfortable talking to him and then you will be able to talk to him more at school. Your conversation with this guy will be better, and those nerdy things will go away and you will be able to talk to him. Hope I helped :)

i think you should start out the conversation first just by asking what he did that day or weekend or something. try to find something in common with what you both did. like if you both went to a movie, talk about that. if you find nothing in common with what you did, talk about just something in common (not necessarily hobbies). and if he tells you something he did, seem interested and try talking about it. for instance if he said he went and seen a movie, ask what it was about and if it was good. then talk about something that maybe relates to it, like a movie you saw that was similar to it that you liked, or a real life situation that happened that maybe links in with it that's interesting. well, i hope i helped some.

Well, if there's any events coming up like a dance, any kind of sport, or whatever ask him if he's going or not or you could ask him what he's doing on the weekend and you could get some of his hobbies out of that also lol..well, I think I had more to say but I forget right now lol I will write some more if I think of any!Hope I helped!
