Question Posted Thursday February 10 2005, 6:39 pm
I know I have a sleeping disorder, I have too. I don't get enough sleep and I always feel run down. I have a busy schedule and I barely get 4 hours a sleep a night. Mostly I have time to sleep but I can't go to sleep. Its like I fight my sleep or anything. I could be in a room so dark and not be able to fall asleep. I would just stare at nothing. And I take stuff to go to sleep but it really messes me up in the day. What can I do?

confusedbabii answered Thursday February 10 2005, 8:17 pm: whatever you do, do not go to medicines that make you drowsy. that is unsage and you will most likely become addicted to that medicine. you should talk to a doctor and get a prescribed medicine which would be much safer. good luck & hope i helped! xoxo *MiZZ niCoLe LYnn* [ confusedbabii's advice column | Ask confusedbabii A Question ]
pixiechix834 answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:24 pm: dont take anything.just think about happy stuff before you go to bed.and don't think that you can't go to sleep because then your making your self not go to sleep.maybe your just really stressed out from school and you have things on your mind. just forget about your problems and relax don't try to force sleep because then it won't come.try reading before you go to bed it might help you relax. reading also makes you tired.you don't have a sleep disorder your just making yourself not sleep.really what you have to do to get your sleep back is not focus on the fact that you can't sleep.don't worry you'll be snoring in no time! tell me how it works out. Ms_Cleo answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:23 pm: You need to feel comfortable in your sleeping enviornment. Try to think of something to award yourself for going to sleep. If you find the right thing, then you will be excited to go to bed. Maybe try a new bedroom set, bed, or pillow. But if you dont want to go expensive, then try turning on the television, playing some music, or even turn on a fan for some soothing noise. And if all else fails.. then you better go to the doctor. Well i hope i helped. Tell me if i helped at all..XOXO. thanks. Ms. Cleo [ Ms_Cleo's advice column | Ask Ms_Cleo A Question ]
xASH answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:04 pm: Before you go to bed you shouldn't drink caffiene because that could make you energetic, and i heard that if you do exercises before you go to bed that prepares your body for sleep( i read that in YM magazine) but you should def. go to a doctor because you could possibly be an insomniac [ xASH's advice column | Ask xASH A Question ]
underline answered Thursday February 10 2005, 7:03 pm: Talk to your doctor. That's not a good thing! And make sure you mention details about how your medicine isn't working, he might know of another one that works better. [ underline's advice column | Ask underline A Question ]
