Why don't you two make an appointment with a make up counter at the mall? You can bring this up for discussion and have fun at the same time. They will do your makeup for free. It takes some time to really get it right and make it look natural, and this will help. And your mom probably needs an update.

My mom says that too. almost every mom says that... tell her it is different these dayz and this is how the teens where there makeup and you like it this way... tell her it isnt that big of a deal compromise with her ask her if you can do this because that id how you feel comfortable well hope i helped!! lots of love

My mom used to be the same as your mom, but this was a few years ago. Try showing your mom a picture of a girl who wears too much make up and show her the difference between a little bit of make up and a lot. Just tell her that you aren't wearing too much make up. Hope I helped :)
