there's this guy i like but all my friends sort of think he's ugly. i really don't know what to think about how good he looks. anyways he like gives me mixed signals and sometimes acts like a jerk. i am way too scared to tell him i like him cause i know he doesn't like me. what should i do? i really am desperate. i have to say i'm in junior high and haven't dated once.

Don't go for a guy that treats you sorta mean some times because you're desperate. You'll do better. If your friends think he's ugly but you don't think so, it's not a big deal. They don't have to date him if they don't like his looks. But if he cuts the cruel act, go for it.
