Jeans

Question Posted Monday February 7 2005, 3:49 am

Okay, I'm 16 and I've been a size 13 in jeans, ever since last year (and awhile before that...). And everytime I put them on they're fine, but then like an hour later, they're really big on me--in the butt and the thigh area, and sometimes the waist. So recently I've switched to an 11 (I've lost 3-5 lbs, but is that enough to drop a pant size?)...they were fine at first, but lately I've been having the same problem--they get baggy...but the waist is fine. I don't like how my pants get all baggy on me, whats going on??

Well when you try on pants in the store; no one has wore them before to stretch them out. So when you wear them somewhere they get baggy and lose. I dont think that loseing 3 or 5 pounds is enough to drop a pant size. Around 10 pounds is though.

The reason why your pants are becoming baggy on you is because everytime you wear them, you stretch them out or you are probably losing more weight. Just wash your jeans and they will tighten up or you can by jeans that are already shrinked and you won't have this problem. Hope I helped :)

They get bigger because they stretch as you wear them, and I think it would be enough to get smaller jeans, but don't go to small, you don't want to be uncofortable.Kudos on the Weight losing though, but it doesn't sound like you need it.I hope I helped -Kaitlyn

See i am the way age but i wear a size 3 when i 1st put them on they are fine but after like an hour or two... they are loose. The reason is because when you walk or excercise and move around, they stretch. and yes it is enought to drop a pant size. i am trying to loose 7 lbs to fit in a 1 although i onle need to loose 5 to wear one. Well good luck to you in your weight loss although if you are 16 and 145, you shouldn't need to loose weight... unless you are uncomfortable.

Hey personally i dont wear jeans, but my mates do all the time so what it is most likely to be the problem is that they are stretching slightly from wearing on a regular basis, unless you don't like the baggy trouser look sorry can't really help there!

Get pants that are stretch and fitted, they should stay tight. The pants you're wearing get stretched out because of movement. Good luck finding the right pairs.
