Question Posted Saturday January 29 2005, 12:24 pm
I just found out that I'm most likely going to be a foreign exchange student in the United Kingdom next year (my senior year of high school!) I am so excited...I will either be going to Scotland, Ireland, or England. I am not quite sure which one yet! I just have a little question...does anyone know what sort of clothes are in style there?
Basically bring allll of your american clothes cos people love different styles here.
Labels arnt the thing here..if it looks good thats the main thing..it doesnt matter if its from a thrift store or gucci.
VINTAGE! ..we love the vintage the ettiquette of good clothing. Please no burberry scarves ..u will be labeled a chavette. Unless you can wear it well.
A trench coat looks good a wicked umbrella it rains here buckets and loads well it did in 2002.

The styles are basically the same as America I think. It really depends on what kind of style you have. A lot of boys wear skater clothes and girls generally wear skirts or jeans. There is no real 'in' style at the moment. You get all kinds of styles around, there is no set one that is in at the moment.
