cold sores
does anyone know how to get rid of cold sores like fast ive been using herpecin L all day but i need it to go away by tomorrow for school pictures...any ideas? thanx a bunch!

unfortunately b/c it is a virus that causes cold sores- it is not going to disappear right away (even herpecin doesn't help it just has a mild anesthetic so it doesn't hurt as much, but doesn't help heal it). If you had a couple of days you could have a dermatologist or family doc try to "freeze" it so that the virus is killed and then the lip will heal in that area (that takes time though).
I would go with the makeup though.

Keep using the medicine, but know that it probably won't go away before tomorrow.
Use some foundation on your lips, making them skin toned and cover the sore the best you can. Go over it with a colored gloss or lipstick. This should help hide the uneveness and redness somewhat.
Sometimes schools offer retakes. Look into that option if the picture is truly terrible.

Well since its for school pictures just cover it with Make-Up.
