I have the exact same issue! Anyhow, ask your mom to STOP BUYING JUNK FOOD! Because, think about it. If you're at home, you get bored, and then you think, "Hmm, there's a bag of chips and some chocolate downstairs. I'm kind of hungry. I think I should eat healthily, but chips and candy taste MUCH better than an apple, so I'll go with the chips and chocolate." But if you have no bag of chips or candy downstairs, then you can't eat it! As simple as that.

Some foods to avoid? Well for starters, anything in a shiny bag that you could find at a gas station store is probably unhealty for you. Anything that's loaded with sugar also isn't too great. Aim for fruits, veggies, bread, milky stuff (frozen yogurt is better for your body than ice cream) and meat! Yes, fruit has a good amount of sugar and bread is loaded with carbs, but you need to have these things in your diet. Sweets can be avoided for a healthier lifestyle.

Hope I helped.. fill me in on what happens!
