Help me buy a digital camera!

Question Posted Saturday January 22 2005, 12:59 pm

The situation is as follows:
-I would like to buy a digital camera
-I would like fairly decent zoom ability
-I would like removable storage
-My budget is $200
I've been trying to do some research but I'm feeling pretty confused. There are so many options and I know so little about all of them. Any advice from people who actually have a digital camera or know a fair amount about them would be fantastic. Is it possible to get what I want within my budget? What brands should I look for?

fujifilm is great. It is only like $100 but with a good memory card it is close to $150 to zoom is pretty good and the quality is great. the only bad part is it goes through batteries like crazt

The real problem is the: "I would like fairly decent zoom ability" requirement. Sony makes some really nice small cameras in your price range. Best of them has 3x zoom.

You may JUST scrape by pricewise, but someone already mentioned that the accessories will probably push you over budget.

If you tell me what your photographic goals are, I may be of better service.

Kodak...I got one for Christmas and it works GREAT! I believe it is an Easy Share, It has different features. It uses a unique dial to change how you want to take your picture! Hope I helped!

Okay well i bought a digital camera for i think 300 dollars. But with that your going to need a case, a memory stick cause the one your camera would usually come with is only limited 10 pictures. and memory sticks are exspensive. and all this other junk. so your going to need to get one for about 100 150. hope i helped <3

I have a camrea, from Sony. And um.. it's a good camrea. Try going to a camrea store or even somewhere like Target and ask the people working there. Your best bet is to go to a Wolf Camrea store (or something like it) and get their opinion. Then, once you've chosen your camrea there go look around for the best price. Good luck!
