I think my friend might have romantic feelings for me, but I don't like them that way. Should I try and talk to them about it or just leave it and hope it doesn't come up?

AdviceMistress answered Saturday January 22 2005, 9:28 pm: i think you should check to see if they have feelings for you befoore you assume. because if you do talk to them it may seem very awkward. check to see if there are any signals that they are sending you. are they flirting?! and if so then go confront them and tell them that unfortunately you don't feel the same way but that you LOVE being friends with them and that's the only way you feel about them. good luck!

Then let that person know that you heard from people that him/her liked you, and even if it's not true, you feel the same way. If you don't feel romantically about him/her, then don't mention anything. If they have those feelings for you eventually they'll say something, or they'll do something painfully obvious to show it, and then, you will either be like "I like you too" or find a way to gently let him/her down.
