I didn't know what subject to put this in

Question Posted Friday January 14 2005, 5:48 pm

Ok...well I met this guy online and we're really good friends now and somehow he got my cell phone number. Well one night he called me and we talked on the phone for a while but it was like a free call because i have free long distance and free after 9. So does anyone know if it still shows up on my phone bill? Because my parents are all like "don't talk to people on the internet you don't know" and they would freak and want to know who I'm talking to in other states and junk. So what should I tell them if it does show up on the bill?

only the phone number and how long you talked to them shows up on the bill so unless they know his phone number they wouldn't know it was him

Well no matter, if they find it or not, you shouldn't be talking to people from the internet, because for all you know hes some 50 year old guy, and thats nasty.

The minutes do show up on the phone bill but I don't think the number does. But if it does don't panic. You could lie to them or you could tell them the truth. It's up to you.

Yes, every number that you dial gets put onto your phone bill, Do your parents check the numbers? If you don't want them to know that you were talking to someone over the internet, you could always tell them it was someone from your school that moved away, HOWEVER...I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT LYING TO YOUR PARENTS. If they ask, just tell them the truth, that it was a friend you know on the internet. If they get mad simply tell them that it was only once and that you will never do it again, and then DON'T do it again. Oh, I was also wondering...How did he get your phone number? Oh yeah, and remember - Be careful with people you meet over the internet. I hope I helped.

tell your parents that it's one of your friends that moved away. and i'm not sure if it shows on phone bills. it might not, considering you dont pay for the calls. look at one of ur old phone bills and see if theres any calls after 9 on your phone. good luck~ hope i helped =)
