shake answered Saturday February 12 2005, 1:57 am: Okay, if you have virus/adware/spyware scanners use those, if those dont work, try going to prog files and messing around with some of the files inside it. Add some numbers to the coding in the files, and delete stuff, pretty much just corrupt it so it cant work right, i did that on my comp once, and it didnt get rid of it, but when the comp started up it told me the prog failed to execute because it was corrupt. sweetjewel answered Saturday January 8 2005, 7:24 pm: if you go to www.panicware.com you can download a pop-up stopper. just click download and pick the one you want. it also has links to get rid of adware and spyware. if you click back to home and look to your right it says top support links, under that it says Still getting pop-ups?, click that and it has links to get rid of spyware and adware. good luck [ sweetjewel's advice column | Ask sweetjewel A Question ]
Shortie8959 answered Saturday January 8 2005, 5:32 pm: Well, I don't know if that's an icon or not, but I went in a chatroom and some guy sent me his pics. So I went to open the icon thing that was labeled pics and it wouldn't open. It would let me delete it either. So I made a new folder on my desktop, and put it in there. Then I put the folder in the recycle bin. Then you go in the recycle bin and delete it there too. Sorry if what you're talking about wasn't icon. Hope I helped though.

Karen answered Saturday January 8 2005, 5:26 pm: If you have virus scan, run it and then find out where it's located and then delete it. If it's a program of some sort, just go to your control panel and then to add/remove programs and delete that way too. Also, install a pop up blocker; I use Yahoo! Companion Toolbar and it has a pop up blocker. Hope I helped :)
