I have hair that is a little longer than shoulder length, layered, and stick straight. I would really like to do shiny mermaid waves in my hair---you know, those waves that are very un-frizzed and soft looking...does anyone know how to do these?

ShOrTnSwEeT42094 answered Monday January 10 2005, 8:56 pm: A friend taught me this trick: Wash and condition your hair like normal, and then after you get out of the shower, first apply a frizz serum, like John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum.Don't over do the serum, just follow the instructions. Then apply a curl enhancing mousee, and pull your hair back into 2 buns on each side, like princess leia, lol. Then, finally, take one big scrunchie and wrap it around the two buns to join them together.Sleep on it,and when you get up in the morning, take out the 3 scrunchies and shake it out.Use a pick or your fingers to toussle it and shake it out so that you have some volume at the top.I hope this helps!!:) [ ShOrTnSwEeT42094's advice column | Ask ShOrTnSwEeT42094 A Question ]
KaJabbers! answered Thursday January 6 2005, 5:24 pm: in the morning dampen your hair and dry it a little with a blow dryer. then put styling mousse in it and scrunch it! you can also use a scrunching spray made just for that. it looks really pretty! then finish with a little bit of hair spray [ KaJabbers!'s advice column | Ask KaJabbers! hayley529 answered Thursday January 6 2005, 11:05 am: take a shower, and after your shower take a LITTLE bit of conditioner, ( like about a quarter size amount) and run your fingers through your hair. then part it however you want and brain it and then put ' herbal essence moose' in your hands , rub together, and then run your hands over your braids. Sleep with braids, then wake up and take them out and hair spray them a little. it works for me :) hope i helped-hayley529 [ hayley529's advice column | Ask hayley529 A Question ]
