Yep, I can relate. I used to have horrible acne before I tried this treatment. It really does work, but it takes about a month before your acne will totally disappear, but it is well worth it! Trust me. First, you buy a face soap that the only main ingredient in it is salycylic acid. You mix that with a little water and put it on your face in the morning and let it sit for about a minute and then wash it off. Then you use a solution that can be rubbed on your face that it's main ingredient is glycolic acid. Just follow the instructions on the product. Then put on a moisturizing OIL FREE cream. Dry skin only makes acne worse, not better. After that you can put on OIL FREE (make sure it is... if it doesn't say it, it isn't) make up to hide the spots a little. Then a t night use the salycylic acid scrub again with the same instructions. (Don't use the glycolic acid treatment or the moisturizer again, though. That's only for the morning.) After that, and this sounds stupid but it really is the key, buy a product that is at least 10% benzoyl peroxide. It has to be a cream, not a scrub or soap. Then run an ice cube over your face to get it cold (don't freeze your skin, just cool it down) I reccomend you keep the cream in the refrigerator so it will be cold too. Put the cream on your face liberally and then lay down and put ice packs on your face for TEN minutes. (The reason for the ice cube and the cold packs is that it will allow the swelling of your acne, [even if you don't think there is swelling there is], to go down and open the pores to allow the benzoyl peroxide to get in.) I highly reccomend this, but you must do all the steps because they are all interlinked. Give it some time though and don't give up!! You may see some change over night, but it may also take a month. It will work though, if you keep it up dilligently!! Hope I helped and good luck!!

makeup doesn't really help getting rid of acne, it just helps to cover it up from letting others know, at night keep washing your face, try out some different acne cleansing wash, but makeup helps to hid it and it should work. x0

get proactiv, it works really well. also, don't use liquid/greasy/creamy make up, use powder to reduce grease in your pores.

Proactive works REALLY good, but its pretty expensive. But another idea is clinique. It's not as expensive and works good too.

FunnyCide answered Friday December 31 2004, 2:32 pm:
use a basic astringent. if you have really dry skin you will need to use a moisturiser too 'cause the astringent will strip your face of dirt and oil. even oils that might be helpful to your skin. but it will drastically reduce acne. you should also use a cleanser like Clearsil or something like that. use the astringent first then the cleanser. use it twice a day. you can also buy stuff for the acne (like medicine) that you put on open sores. you can get stuff like that at wal-mart or target. of course, there are never-ending lists of perscription things, but i think that this will help. remember to wash your face in the morning and at night. that will help alot!!

Go to your local store and buy Seabreeze Astrigent! It helps get rid of acne a little bit. Putting toothpaste over your zits helps reduce the redness of them. You can't actually get rid of your acne in one day. Just cover it up with concealer or cover up! Hope I helped :)
