Question Posted Wednesday December 29 2004, 9:14 pm
last year me and my bf broke up and he spread all these rumors about me making the whole school think im a slut, etc, etc... since then ive never wanted to date a guy from my school because im scared that those rumors are going to come up again and people look at me like im an even bigger slut for going out with someone else.. i KNOW i shouldnt care what people think of me, so please dont say anything like that.. theres this guy that I like and he likes me too and he wants a relationship with me, but i told him how i felt about not wanting to date a guy from school.. I told him this, "i really want to be with you too, but from everything [i told him about what happened last yr] i just dont want the title of being 'boyfriend n girlfriend' but i would want to be like together and know we like eachother but not really be bf and gf".. I think he got kind of mad at that.. I dont know what to do because Im really scared that rumors are going to start up again, etc.. any advice? thanks

Guess not. well my advice is to take the title and to go on with it as if nobody has ever called you a slut. You have friends right..so between your friends and your new bf i think you could be happy if you tune out all those idiots. Those people who call you that are the jealous ones..or they are the ones who have nothing better to do than make fun of you. Its just my opinion though..its somethin to think about

And also hang out with a bunch of friends or for alone time you could go to his house or vise versa. Sorry if I didnt help much.. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
