What are some good exercises to slim down the calves of your legs so they look slimmer and trimmer? I'm talking about at home exercises..not gym equipment! I RATE HIGH!
FunnyCide answered Monday December 27 2004, 1:29 pm: equestrians do these exercises to help slim the calf and build muscle in it: stand on a stair or a stool; the ball of your foot should be on the very edge of the stair or stool. push all of your weight down in your heel (you might need to hold onto something so that you dont fall)and bounce a couple times. then stand all the way up on your tip-toes and bounce a couple of times (not like jumping, just a movement that is similar to bouncing without leaving the ground) knee crunches will help too, but if you have a bad knee or knee problems, this isn't ideal. lunges are a good idea too, but these are more directed towards your thighs than your calves, but they will help some. the stair exercise will wear you out, even though it sounds simple. do as many as you can without hurting yourself. you will need to stretch before you exercise so that you dont hurt yourself.
