gettin a new car

Question Posted Thursday December 23 2004, 3:25 am

Here is the thing i have this really nice lowered blue s-10 ( i have posted other things on here b4) but anyways my mom says that i can't drive it in the snow cause it isn't save and that my brother has a friend that will trade me cars and his is a volkswagon golf hatchback, which isn't that good of a looking car but it is safer. I really like my truck tho and i was planning on painting it and suping it up more and now i don't know if i should trade cars and be safer or keep my truck. help i am not sure what i should do? thanks for anyhelp

keep the truck. your mom is basing this argument off air bags and crumple zones. your in a truck. its a lot sturdier than a golf. i would feel safer in a truck than in a VW any day of the week

i personally think you should keep your truck.

any car can be unsafe, so why not have one thats pimped out and looks good? Why not have the one that you like?
lol.

Ok here is my idea, im not a big fan of lowered trucks but this is what you should do...keep your truck, and if your brother will allow you to borrow his car when you need it do so, and just save up for a cheap used car that you can use, so you get a different car that is safe, but yet you still keep your truck

Well it depends. is there going to be snow there for a long time? if there is swicth if not you should take the other teh volkswagon and be safer.u dont know taht if you keep your truck you could be risking your life.if u get th volkswagon you can fit more people in it to.More party space.
tahst is what i think you should do

If I were you, I would explain to my mom about how much I liked the truck and really dont want to get rid of it but you also respect her opinion on wanting you to be safe. I would then see if it was possible to try and make a deal with your brother's friend that you could use his volkswagon in the winter when the weather is bad but that you could have your prized possesion back in the spring! Hope that helps and it works out for you!!

Keep the truck! You could always raise your truck back up, since hatchbacks are really small and might get stuck in the snow! Hope I helped :)

I have an S-10, and an S-10 is much safer than a Golf hatchback. I think you should raise the suspension back up on the truck, then see what she says.
I wouldn't drive a Volkswagon Golf in the snow....

hey. what do you mean by not safe? the tires arint suitable for the snow? if it's that then you can keep your truck and have the tires changed if thats what you mean...i'm not sure how this works very well but every car should have a pair of normal tires and snow tires for snow and icy roads and things. i mean if you like your truck i'm sure you can keep it. maybe talk to your mom about the snow tires. if that doesnt work out then it's better to be safe then sorry. hope i help. take care. x3 SweetStar.
