what does benchpress mean?

It is a type of workout atheletes, or body builders use to increse their pectorals and their triceps at the same time, it consists of a bench (not one you sit on) but somthing that is as wide from shoulder to shoulder and you have a bar above you where your face is at. you then lift the bar up off the racks and stiffen your arms, about shoulder width apart. you then lower the bar all the way until it hits your chest and push it back up.

It is a type of weight lifting thing. They lay down on this bench thing and push a bar with weights on the end up and down, as many times as they can.
