Cool new phone

Well, today i got a cool new phone and I have activated it and blah. But do i need signal inorder to recieve messages? I have a Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go plan. It is really cool. But I don't know hy it is take the ppl so long to send a text message saying that it is okay to use and blah. lol. please advise me! :-D

Got the same exact problem like yous before but now I was able to solved it. Thanks to sim only deal that I got from [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) all my problems had gone and I'm now enjoying it.

Ya... i have a cell phone.. u need signal to receive or send anything.. or if you wanted to go on the web on your phone you need signal... but lets say on aim you have mobile aim turned on people can still send you messages but you won't receive them until you go into a service area. Hope I helped :)

i need signal to recieve all kind of messages and calls, so you most likely do. they can send them, but you wont actually get them until signal returns.

If they activated the phone at the store, you should be ready to start using it. Why not try calling someone and seeing what happens?

Of course, no signal, no calls. That doesn't change if your phone is a day old or 20 years old.
